• 500g water, filtered
  • 250g sweet potato and/or pumpkin, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • ½ small brown onion, peeled and roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper to season
  • ½ tsp smoky or sweet paprika
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp savoury yeast flakes
  1. Place water in TM bowl with vegetables in the steamer basket. Set basket in position and cook 20mins/100C/speed 2.
  2. Save the cooking liquid and blend half with the veggies adding salt and pepper to taste. (Add more liquid if necessary.)
  3. Add savoury yeast flakes, paprika, apple cider vinegar and blend for 10 secs/speed 8 or until smooth.
  4. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve with crackers while still warm or when cold.

Traditional Method:

  1. Place vegetables and nuts in the top of a steamer and steam until veggies are soft.
  2. Drain the veggies and nut mix reserving the cooking liquid.
  3. Place veggies and 150ml of the cooking liquid into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add savoury yeast flakes, paprika, vinegar and season with salt and pepper and blend together then adjust seasoning if necessary and serve with crackers while still warm or when cold.
